MOTG: Formal wear

Life lately:

I’m not going to lie, life has been rather crazy this last month. I’ve been contacted by the girls teachers respectively regarding a few things, 1) that Zia bit a boy in class and she was acting out  and 2) Tazkia is noisy, if you know her you will know that she sings all day everyday, anyway the teacher said that she is disruptive and don’t listen. Eh its now been two full months only and my kids are acting like hooligans. I handled that quick – quick, and I think all is going okay with them because I haven’t heard anything again from the teachers, however a PTA meeting is coming up soon. But im telling you now im really not going to be happy if its going to be a ‘complain about my children’ type meeting I’m; only looking for positive vibes here.

I’ve been back at work for two full months too and its been insane,  as always, it feels as if I never left, but also feels like I need another long vacation. Yameen has been growing nicely. He always has a smile on his face and he is  starting to recognise us as his family.  a mommy’s boy. I’m so in love with this child. Gosh. A 6 months development post will surely come soon. I’ve had Lasik eye surgery in this month too, and if you are semi blind and must wear specs to function as a normal person, you need to at least do some research on this  surgery. A post will be ready soon about my experience and the process of the surgery. So look out for that.

Anyway, about this look, I went with a formal bohemian style dress.

Dressing up for a special occasion or event can be super exhausting and stressful at times, and for some reason it always happens that when i’m looking for a beautiful formal dress I can never find what i’m looking for and I often end up purchasing a dress because I had no choice. I take all my inspiration from pinterest or google and my go to style of dress is boho/maxi inspired because i feel like the boho style would normally have beautiful flower pattern material or lace. Its almost always effortless and beautiful.

I aim to find a dress that don’t need to match it with much, just a pretty pair of shoes and clutch and I’m out the door. So when my birthday came around this year, i knew that Mr had to buy me a nice dress because why not and it had to be one where i could dress it up with heels and a clutch or dress it down with a denim jacket and converse sneakers. This dress is versatile and I don’t know I think it fits my figure well.

I had eyed this dress for while on Zando’s website here and thought it was a perfect gift for me for my birthday. The white Eve Emporium Ruffle Sleeve Maxi Dress is a perfect addition to my collection and makes a perfect Mom on the go dress when i want to look put together for a special event. I’ve paired the dress with a nude heel that was comfortable and classic.

Until next time

  1. Beautiful 👌
